Mission Nirmal Bangla, aligned with Swachh Bharat Mission, aims to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and construction of toilets to end open defecation. PSRWS actively works in Phansidewa Block of Darjeeling District as a key implementation partner.

Community Meetings and Household Awareness Visits
Engaging with families through group discussions and door-to-door campaigns to raise awareness on sanitation and toilet use.Technical Support for Toilet Construction
Guiding households and masons with proper toilet designs, site selection, and quality construction practices.Facilitating Subsidy Access under SBM Guidelines
Assisting eligible families in completing documentation and procedures to receive financial support for toilet construction.Promoting Behavioural Change and Hygiene Practices
Encouraging consistent toilet use, handwashing with soap, and overall hygiene improvement through sustained IEC and BCC efforts.Supporting Villages in Achieving ODF Status
Working with Panchayats and stakeholders to help villages become Open Defecation Free (ODF) and sustain the status through community ownership.
